EXAMENES
Aqui en la escuela de YCST hay muchisimos examenes que vienen pronto.
Esta mes los estudiantes de ELL tienen el examen de WIDA ACCESS.
Tambien, tenemos el 4Sight para todos, los Keystones y NOCTI para algunos, y los PSSA para los en grado 11.
Tal vez etas preguntando, "Que puedo hacer yo para prepara mi hijo/a?"
Aqui hay algunos sugerencias para usted:
-asegurar que cada noche su hijo/a recibe duerme bastante
-asegurar que cada manana su hijo/a come un desayuno
-asegurar que su hijo/a recibe almuerzo--si necesite un solicitud para almuerzo gratis/precio reducido (desacarga disponisble aqui) http://www.fns.usda.gov/cnd/frp/frp.process.htm
-hablar con su hijo/a sobre la importancia de hacer lo mejor que pueda
Noticias de Febrero:
Los estudiantes tienen escuela viernes, el 18 de febrero pero NO HAY ESCUELA LUNES, el 21 de febrero para President's Day.
Conferencias para padres seran el 24 de febrero. Si queria una cita, lo mas pronto posible, llama Ms. Brown en la oficina de Student Services, o pide Ms. Ludwig (si requiere en espanol). Traduccion esta disponible.

FEBRUARY
EXAMS
Here at YCST we have many upcoming exams. This month, the ELL students are taking the WIDA ACCESS test. Also, all students will be taking the 4Sight, the Keystones and NOCTI for some, and the PSSA test for those in 11th grade.
Maybe you are asking yourself, "What can I do to help my son or daughter prepare?"
Here are some suggestions for you:
-be sure that your child receives enough sleep each night
-be sure that your child has the opportunity to eat breakfast each day
-be sure your child has the opportunity to each lunch--if you need an application form for Free/Reduced Lunch, it can be downloaded here http://www.fns.usda.gov/cnd/frp/frp.process.htm
-talk with your child about the importance of doing the best they are able to
February News:
The students have school on February 18th, but THERE IS NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 21 for President's Day.
February 24 is Parent Conferences. Please call Ms. Brown in Student Services for an appointment with the teachers you would like to meet with.
